Fitter Mother Shortlisted At The British Fitness Awards

Shortlisted for Female Fitness Trainer and Female PT at the 2024 British Fitness Awards!

When I received the news that I had made the longlist for these awards, I let out a squeal of delight. When I made the shortlist, and knew I'd be attending the 10th anniversary ceremony, that squeal got even louder.

It was a record-breaking year. 291,258 nominations. 2,920,269 shortlist votes. And I was part of it.

Here's what I learned along the way:

1. You don't have to come first to be a winner. You really don't. Seeing the @fittermother brand in print alongside major fitness players like @clubbercise and @better_uk was definitely a 'pinch-me' moment. Having my clients & supporters vote for me in my categories with such lovely words of support & encouragement was unreal. And having my 10-year old tell me 'well you should win because you're the kindest' was the only victory I needed.

2. Fitness really is about the way it makes you feel. It's a message I've been preaching for years, and being part of a night of celebration of ALL types of intentional movement, from grassroot sports, to inclusivity classes (shout out to @inclusfit) and everything in between really hammered that message home.

3. It's true. Fitness coaches eat chocolate & drink booze (and here's the shocker - don't feel guilty about it, because life is for living & exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what you eat)

4. The biggie - I AM SO DAMN PROUD. Not of myself, but of everyone who works in this sector and gives their all to helping people feel great and to YOU guys for trusting us with that process.

So thanks again to @britishfitnessawards for putting on a night to be thankful for and a huge congrats to all the categories winners and nominees xx
